"Aut pax aut bellum" - Either peace or war
The Gunns, a Norse-Scottish clan, trace their origins to the Norse settlers of Caithness and Sutherland. Known as fierce warriors, they were often embroiled in feuds with neighbouring clans such as the Keiths. Their Viking heritage remains a strong part of their identity.
