Middleton
"Fortis in arduis" - Strong in difficulties
The Middletons take their name from lands in Kincardineshire, in the northeast of Scotland. Rising to prominence in the 17th century, they produced John Middleton, 1st Earl of Middleton, a soldier who fought in the Wars of the Three Kingdoms and later served as Lord High Commissioner of Scotland. Though not among the largest Highland clans, the Middletons are remembered for their resilience and service to crown and country.
Middleton Ancient
The Middleton Ancient has a green base and rich orange checks. Its lighter, weathered palette gives a classic design a naturally historic charm, perfect for adding warmth with a subtle touch of colour.
