Clan Morrison traces its origins to the Western Isles, particularly Lewis and Harris, where they were traditionally hereditary judges, or brieves, of the island. With Norse and Gaelic roots, the Morrisons were known for their wisdom in law and governance as well as their strength in seafaring. Though often caught in feuds with neighbouring clans, they maintained a proud identity that endures across the Hebrides.
